ExtremaCasa is a Spanish limited company wholly-owned, set up and run by Martyn Swan. Martyn opened the first British estate agents office on the Costa de la Luz, but moved to the peace and quiet of Extremadura when the Costa de la Luz showed worrying signs of becoming too popular!

Martyn now lives permanently near Trujillo and runs ExtremaCasa as well as overseeing his UK business Profitbuilder International, which specialises in helping companies increase their profits. Somewhat reluctant now to leave the tranquillity of Trujillo, he nevertheless flies back to UK fairly regularly to see his family, to run seminars for Profitbuilder, and to follow the fortunes of Brighton and Hove Albion Football Club (not necessarily in that order!). Debbie Sellwood comes from Windsor on the outskirts of London, but 3 years ago decided to move to Spain. With her husband and young daughter she spent a year driving around the country looking at various different regions but fell in love with Extremadura, especially the area around the lakes in Las Vegas Altas, where she now lives. Debbie handles all our property in this beautiful part of Spain and her enthusiasm about her new home and lifestyle will soon convince you that this is a great place to live. Originally from Devon in the U.K., Jakki Cosway spent most of her working life in the Balearic Islands before moving to the Sierra de Gata three years ago and now knows virtually everyone and everything about the area. She lives with her Spanish partner José just outside Eljas and speaks six languages fluently, as well as understanding A Fala, a language spoken only in the three villages of her area of the Sierra de Gata. After 25 years of working in the pensions industry (and supporting Crystal Palace!), Gill O'Brien moved to a small hamlet just outside Valencia de Alcántara in 2005. Since May 2006 Gill has been running a bar/restaurant with her husband Chris; most of their customers are Spanish and many are now firm friends. Gill and Chris had spent several years looking for the right place to move to in Spain, but knew they had found it immediately when they arrived in Valencia de Alcántara. Click here to email Gill.

Caroline Eden was brought up between Scotland where she was born and Portugal where her parents moved to farm in the 70's. She is a real country girl and has a cherry farm in La Vera where she is accepted as just another local, especially since marrying one! Caroline is very keen on languages and apart from being fluent in Spanish and Portuguese she also speaks French and some German. Christine Smith moved to Spain a year ago from her home in Devon, England after retiring from her accountancy business. She now lives in the small village of Santiago del Campo in the Tajo-Salor region and has already settled in and made new friends, both Spanish and ex-pat. Whilst spending her time improving her knowledge of the Spanish language, exploring the beautiful countryside and reforming her house, she would love the opportunity to show you the area that is now her home in this unspoilt area of sunny Spain.
